There are grills located next to the beach if you’re feeling adventurous and want to cook up a meal, as well as the opportunity to launch boats into the water for some added fun.
The bathrooms and showers are conveniently located just past the playground. The $7 parking fee is convenient and allows visitors to enjoy a day at the lake.

2. Seaforth Beach
Distance: 18 miles – 25 mins
Seaforth Beach is the perfect place to visit if you’re looking for a clean beach that isn’t overcrowded. During the week, the beach is usually peaceful and you won’t have to worry about being constantly surrounded by people.
There are plenty of picnic tables with grills, a playground, and even a volleyball area. Most parts of the beach are sandy, though there are some parts that are a bit more clay-like.
Additionally, there are great facilities here and the cost to park a car is only $7. All in all, Seaforth Beach is the ideal place to spend a relaxing day.
3. Vista Point Beach
Distance: 22 miles – 30 mins
Vista Point Beach is a good spot for a family outing. It’s a small beach located right next to the boat launch and close to the city.
You’ll find that it’s a very peaceful and relaxing spot, and it’s usually super clean. An overall great place for the kids to run around and enjoy the nice day, but it’s not really suitable for adults to go swimming.
There’s a parking fee of $7, but it’s worth it if you want to go for a walk or just relax and take in the scenery. However, if you are looking to swim yourself then the other beaches near Morrisville are better for you.
4. Rolling View State Recreation Area
Distance: 20 miles – 30 mins
The Rolling View State Recreation Area is a nice visit during a hot summer day. It is not overly crowded, so everyone is comfortable and able to enjoy the area.
The views are absolutely stunning, and there are plenty of public tables and shaded areas to sit in and relax. There is even a neat swimming area, but be careful because the bottom has some sharp rocks.
Though usually clean, sometimes things get left behind, so please be sure to pick up any trash before you leave. You don’t want to see other people’s trash on the beach so don’t leave yours behind!
If the park staff did a more regular cleaning of the trash people left behind we would give this place the perfect mark, however, as it stands it’s a good place to visit but not always clean.
5. Beaverdam Lake State Recreation Area
Distance: 24 miles – 30 mins
Beaverdam Lake State Recreation Area is an ideal spot for those looking for a tranquil day in nature. It is one of the few lake areas where motorized boats are not allowed, making it a great spot for kayaking or paddle boarding.
It is also a great spot for swimming, with no engine noise to distract from the serenity of the lake. As with many other beaches around Morrisville, this one has a $7 per car parking fee as well.
The parking area is spacious and the picnic areas are well maintained, making it a nice spot during the summer months. There are plenty of areas to explore and enjoy, whether relaxing on the shore or taking a dip in the lake.
6. Raven Rock State Park
Distance: 50 miles – 1 hour
Raven Rock State Park is an amazing place to visit but it’s not really a beach. This is more of a natural area to explore during summer than an actual beach day.
However, in the end, there is a reward. Many people love to take a dip into the river once they reach Lanier Falls. Who can blame them? It’s a wonderful area with nature, a waterfall, and amazing scenery all around you.

7. Buffaloe Road Aquatic Center
Distance: 25 miles – 30 mins
Finally, we have something simple. Not a beach, not a lake, and not a state park. Rather a proper swimming center with even a slide.
This is one of the best places if you want your kids to enjoy themselves on a hot summer day. Most of the facilities here are centers around children so keep this in mind. They’ll have a blast while you can relax next to the pool and also dip your toes into the water every now and again.
This is the ultimate place to come for families around the area as there are no proper ocean beaches around. It’s definitely tons of fun.
