Lake Simcoe is one of the most popular lakes in Ontario. If you visit during the summer you can dip into the water to cool down, meanwhile, during winter the lake usually freezes creating superb scenery. So, let’s see what this place has in store and what are the best Lake Simcoe Beaches to visit.

1. Centennial Beach

If you’re looking for a great sandy beach to enjoy a full day of outdoor fun, Centennial Beach on Lake Simcoe is a wonderful option.
The beach and park are both well-equipped with plenty of amenities. It’s a great pick whether you’re looking to play some beach volleyball, enjoy a small picnic, or take a leisurely stroll along the shoreline.
This beach is also one of the most popular Lake Simcoe beaches. It’s a great visit both during the summer and the winter. During hot summer days, you can expect the beach to be crowded with locals who want to enjoy the water and the sunshine.

2. Tyndale Beach
Barrie
It’s a lovely, clean beach with volleyball nets, barbeques, restrooms, and a play area for youngsters. During the week, it is a pleasant calm spot.
The view is breathtaking. However, on hot summer days, it might become packed. The parking lot is limited, with only approximately 25 spaces. If you’re searching for a tiny beach in the neighborhood, maybe this is the spot for you.
Tyndale Beach is popular among both locals and visitors alike.

3. Johnson’s Beach

Next up on our list is Johnson’s Beach. It’s a Barrie beach on Lake Simcoe and it’s a nice alternative to the main Centennial Beach Area.
This lovely beach is one of the locals’ favorite spots. It is situated near a yacht club and paid parking lot, making it easily accessible. The beach itself is small but well-maintained, with calm water and smooth sand.
There are restrooms and lifeguards on duty so you can feel confident and safe while you’re here. The beautiful boardwalk provides access to nearby trails where you can enjoy running, strolling, and bicycling.

4. Innisfil Beach Park

The Innisfil Beach Park is a large leisure facility containing a beachfront, walkways, sports fields, and a boat dock. The beachfront offers stunning views of Lake Simcoe, and the walkways are perfect for a leisurely stroll or jog.

5. Claredon Beach Park

Claredon Beach Park is a stunningly beautiful place. The views of the lake and bay from the beachfront are simply breathtaking.
You’ll see plenty of boats, sailing boats, and people fishing, water skiing, and swimming. There are few places to rest and tan, but that just adds to the charm of the place. There is a tiny beach with no lifeguards.
It’s a small cute Lake Simcoe beach. It almost feels like a hidden gem.

6. De La Salle Park Beach
Jacksons Point
De La Salle Park’s beach is the perfect place to relax and soak up the warm summer sun. With plenty of space for beach volleyball, sunbathing, and picnicking, it’s easy to spend a lazy afternoon here.
The water is clean and tranquil and the atmosphere is inviting. Parking is simple, but if you arrive late, you might have trouble finding a free spot.

7. Sibbald Point Provincial Park Beach

The Sibbald Point Provincial Park Beach is a wonderful Provincial Park and the beach section is great for swimming and sunbathing.
The water is clean and shallow, making it ideal for children to enjoy themselves. Plus, there are plenty of trees for picnicking and shady areas for relaxing.

8. Kitchener Park
Orillia
Kitchener Park is the perfect place if you would like to take your dogs to the beach. It’s a dog-friendly area and there’s plenty of nature for our little furry friends to enjoy. Spending a day with your dog at Kitchener Park will surely leave them exhausted and sleeping like a log for the rest of the day.
The park is a great place if you want to have a picnic and enjoy some outdoor time. Just do note that this is not really a swimming beach. There’s a playground and a basketball course here.

9. Oro Beach
Oro Station
Finally, we have Oro Beach. This little sandy pebble beach is a great spot for swimming and water sports during the summer. The lake water is clean and warm, making it ideal for children. On a side note, Goderich Ontario also has great beaches.
Unfortunately, there is no boat access or dock, so you’ll have to make do with the beach itself. Still, it’s a great spot to relax and enjoy the summer sun!
