As travel has started picking up for the 2022 season airlines were happy to be back in business for passengers around the world. The best airlines once again provided excellent service and a unique experience that reminds us of the golden age of flying. There are actually quite some changes on the list. Although the two top places are exactly the same as they were in 2021 we have a new airline taking up the 3rd place on the podium.

So let’s see the rankings for the best airlines in 2022.

1. Qatar Airways

Qatar Airways managed to remain in the very first place for 2022. This means that even today if you want to fly the top flight you must be booking a seat on a Qatar Airways airplane. What an achievement. We congratulate the staff and management of Qatar Airways for creating a great flying experience.

Although we absolutely love Qatar Airways we do wonder when this airline will be dethroned. They have now won the award a staggering seven times. The level of excellence they provide is just crazy.

2. Singapore Airlines

Coming in second is Singapore Airlines once again. Singapore Airlines managed to keep the same super high-quality service that they are known for and managed to secure their second place with confidence.

3. Emirates

And at number three we have our first position swap. This year Emirates has managed to overtake ANA All Nippon Airways for third place in the list of the best airlines in the world.

It’s a testament to the hard work they’ve put into flying all around the world. This airline has been improving nicely in recent years and they will have a real chance to move even further on the list if they can keep up the good work.

4. ANA All Nippon Airways

ANA All Nippon Airways have moved down a spot from number three but they still take home the fourth position. Although this is a slightly worse result for them then it was last year they are still among the best of the best. To say ANA is not one of the top airlines in 2022 just because they are not top 3 would be very bad.

ANA All Nippon Airways is a superb airline with excellent service and we wish them a great year a head. Hopefully, they can return in 2023 to reclaim their position. Or maybe even improve.

5. Qantas Airways

What a jump for Qantas. From number eight last year to number five this year. Wow, a superb result for Qantas. It’s hard to believe that such a historic airline manages to be so relevant even today. Great job.

6. Japan Airlines

Japan Airlines have lost one position with Qantas’s high rise. Regardless they still maintain one of the most professional crews in the airline industry and we love to fly Japan Airlines. Wish them great success for 2023.

7. Turkish Airlines

A new entry to the 2022 best airlines table. Turkish Airlines didn’t make the top ten last year but they were coming in strong in 2022. Istanbul is one of the most important travel hubs in the world and we are always happy when we get a chance to fly Turkish. Good result from them and let’s hope they can keep the top 10 next year as well.

8. Air France

Another historic airline makes up a few places for 2022. A better result than last year and a travel crew that’s just as excellent if not better than last year as well. Whenever we are flying in and out of Europe, Air France is definitely high on the list of our preferred airlines. However, this year they are not the only European airline to make the list.

9. Korean Air

Korean Air managed to put itself up from a Top 20 airline to a Top 10 airline. With an excellent year in 2022, we can now be sure that Korean Air is one of the best airlines in the world. Korean Air is the biggest airline in South Korea. We are sure that Koreans will be extremely happy to hear that their airline is now the 9th best airline in the world.

10. Swiss International Air Lines

Finally, another change from 2021. In 2022 the 10th best airline in the world is Swiss International Air Lines. This puts two European airlines on the list. Although airlines around the world have taken service and staffing very seriously, this year Europe has shown that they are still big players in the airline industry and it would be a mistake to look over them.
